FEATURED ON THE WEDDING CHICKS!!!

When I was engaged in 2009 The Wedding Chicks had just busted out of the gates with their DIY wedding blog and needless to say - I was ALL over it. Here we are a measly 3 years later and my work is featured there?!?! This is so awesome I hadnt even dreamt it!! Thank you thank you thank you!

Headpiece Inspiration:

Invitation By Shel Silverstein in The Sidewalk Ends
If you are a dreamer, come in.
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer . . .
If you’re a pretender,
come sit by my fire,
For we have some flax golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!

I love this color palette. Top hat was handmade using a grey silk dupioni, dusty pink satin and tulle. I love gold on anything! Vintage gold leaf found at a flea market in Vermont! The gold/brown goose feather makes it so subtly earthy.

You may recognize the birdcage veil piece from the Cherry Blossom Collection. This thing seriously looks a-mazing on everyone!!

This hat looks good at every angle. Mission accomplished.

Bright Mini Top Hats

I am obsessed with aqua and red so I was stoked right off the bat to create a custom hat for Amy's wedding. As she sent me bits of her inspiration, I knew we had to incorporate all the little details onto her hat.

Waiting with bated breath = totally worth it. Look it this magical package I received. Layered rainbow colored buttons for button bouquets, tissue paper roses from her groomsman boutonnieres and an array of tiny treasures.

Could not WAIT to use this little paper heart. I love how subtle it is against the red silk and french net.

Can we talk about these delicious textures???

More buttons! More buttons!

I have to say once again how much I ADORE my brides. You are all so COOL. Which makes ME so cool!

Love love love to Amy and her hubby-to-be!!!

Alice in Wonderland in Black and White....and RED!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: My customers blow my mind. How each of you take such a classic theme like Alice in Wonderland and make it so unique, so original and so you. I loved every single one of these bridal party hats individually but as a whole - they are Show Stoppers.

How ridiculously cute are these matching bride and flower girl hats? A petite white rabbit hat with a clock!

I remember Ashton saying to me "I love all of your Alice in Wonderland photos but just you wait..." Well, I can NOT wait to see what else she has in store for the wedding that is just weeks away! Congrats congrats congrats to you!

Lots of love

The girls wore custom made petite mini top hats to match their adorably colorful bridesmaid dresses. Coolest bride ever.

Anna's hat was completely custom and so couture. We designed a pure white mini top hat made from a gorgeous damask fabric. Peekaboo turquoise underside, vintage pin and birdcage veil. She was timeless!

This is how you do a destination wedding...

Anna and John had guest appearances from The Mad Hatter AND Goofy. We're all officially famous by association.

Oh Anna and John, I absolutely adore everything about you! Please join me in wishing them this kind of happiness forever and a day.

In honor of Anna and John: a sale on all custom bridal party hats! Enjoy!!
