Green Hair Fascinator Headband

https://www.etsy.com/listing/173405160/feather-glitter-bird-headband-green-hair?ref=shop_home_active

What can I say except sometimes I wanna high five myself? Made from green satins to, dare I say , give an ombre affect? The emerald green bird has just the right amount of feathers, glitter and sequins for even the most subtle party girl. ;) Worn on a thin silver alice band.

I'll be sad to see this birdy go. But alas, I only have one head. Click on any of the photos for the listing to purchase. BALTIMORE : Local pick up is available. Message for a shipping adjustment.

Custom Wedding Birdcage Veil Fascinator

www.twobackflats.com

I know. Its all so pretty you wanna eat it.  Lisa's wedding color palette was pretty much one of my personal faves in red, pink and ivory. She wanted a birdcage veil / fascinator that was bold but still just an accent to her ensemble. I created this piece using 9 different fabrics, 3 vintage pins and and partridge in a pear tree.

Royal Ascot Hat

I had the honor of being commissioned for a hat for a very fabulous lady invited to Royal Ascot.
What do we think? Belle of the Ball?

She wanted to sport one of my Mad Hatter hats for a touch of whimsy. Can we blame her? ;)

Two patterned vintage fabrics in cream and ivory with touches of champagne satin.
Trimmed with pale pink and ivory feathers and a vintage flower brooch.

I'm in love with that pop of green on the stem.

I blew this one a kiss as it headed out the door.
Cheers! Happy Wednesday! Happy Ascot Day!

BALTIMORE REPRESENT

A little behind the scenes from the Two Back Flats
RAW Natural Born Artist Showcase prep at Fells Point Salon.

I wanna be rich and famous so all my friends will be rich and famous too.

The two gypsy, pirate goddesses below are responsible for doing the best hair in Baltimore...and for teaching me all their ways from haircuts to living free. Always looking up to both of you Nina and Melanye.

The brand new Fells Point Salon location : 735 S. Ann St. Baltimore, MD 21231

The beautiful and talented Maureen Flynn on makeup.

WHOA. Meet Laina. I literally met this girl on the street a few weeks ago while she was wasting her sweet time as a hostess. She had a perfect victory roll, little blazer and killer heels. All I kept thinking was "this girl needs a top hat". If you build it they will come. I am so glad she didn't think I was a creep and e-mailed me back. Thank you universe. Perfection:

Another of my lady canvases for the evening the la la lovely Lauren Burton! Let's all take note that not only did L not flinch, but she sat around looking gorgeous as her entire head was covered in rows of perm rods. Thats right perm rods. #LikeABoss

You can tell Melanye is from Baltimore with those stellar hair teasing skillz.

this photo melts my heart. So many of my favorite things:

are you freaking out about the black and white striped mini top hat too?

I wanted each of my girls for the evening to represent a little bit of Two Back Flats. A little Mad,  a little Moulin Rouge and of course a little retro! The hats and headpieces speak for themselves but I could not have pulled this off without this hair, makeup and modeling expertise!

The darling and sensational Miss Fawn rocking my pin up look with our ever so loved pinwheel headband! Go check out this lady if you know what is good for you. She is professional and sultry and pretty damn fabulous.

Me sassing it up in my black top hat for the camera per usual. Plus I can never keep a straight face when Alana is around.

Fun fact: Two Back Flats was actually BORN about 4 houses behind where Miss Fawn is strutting.
How delightful, right?

let us also discuss the heels these girls both whipped out of their bags like I have some sort of genie in a bottle. #soulsisters #bringmeyourmostridiculousshoes

showtime!!!

I want to thank all of these ladies who I am blessed and honored to call friends. You will call them too if you know whats up:

Keystone Wounded Warriors Benefit Runway Show

Since I began Two Back Flats, the notion that you get what you give has been in the forefront of my mind. Of course I would contribute to the truly wonderful cause that is the Wounded Warrior Project
AND have my first runway show in the process!!

Red, white and blue hats all lined up in the studio ready for a head count and fashion showwww!!
If you know me...you know what makes me happy ... and that is rolling hills and barns! Historic Shady Lane embraced the very heart of me the second we pulled on site!!

As I told my gorgeous assistant for the day, Karineh, if someone asked me about what I would do on a perfect day...I would say - hmmm walk up a rustic path on a beautiful 74 degree spring day and dress up a bunch of models for a runway show. Dream within a dream!!

Designers tent! Good God I love a backstage buzz.

The Keystone Wounded Warriors raised over SIX THOUSAND dollars on Saturday night!! I could cry I am so excited to have had a little part in that exciting number!!!

Thank you so much to Janelle at Historic Shady Lane for hosting such a beautiful day and for thinking of me :)), Nikke from Nikkay Fashions for organizing so perfectly such an honorable and important event! And CHEERS to all the awesome designers we met!!!
Y'all made the day so much fun!!!
