Steampunk Victorian Gothic Mini Top Hat

Black mini top hat handmade from scratch using a black satin, braided trimmings and miniature jet black goose feathers. A black satin collar that cascades along the brim and vintage brooch make this hat couture, a little Victorian and a lot of awesome. It is listed in my shop and ready to ship.

Victorian Tea Party Mini Top Hat

Try as hard as you possibly can to contain your jealousy: The lady I made this hat for gives pony rides for a living. And they're not just ponies. They're rainbow haired ponies.
You know how I feel about rainbow hair.

Magical things happen to magical people. Just as I was completing her headpiece, I found this vintage horse cameo locket to complete it. Seriously. In that color blue.

This was a custom order to match a pink and blue floral Victorian tea party outfit Angela made for herself. If you love anything girly and lacy...you would flip! I hope we'll see pics of the whole ensemble together! Cough. Cough.

Thank you universe for continuously sending me the world's coolest customers and best vintage pins.

Black and White Striped Hat

Mini Top Hat – Two Back Flats

Dress: Carmen Marc Valvo
Shrug: Express
Tights: from a Halloween Store
Booties: Steve Madden

When contacted by the LOVELY Jas from Two Back Flats about styling her hats for the everyday gal, my first reaction was, “WHO??? ME???” It was confusing and extremely flattering all at once. Once I wrapped my head around it, of course, I squealed and accepted the challenge

Outfit inspirations: Tim Burton’s Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

Our first collaboration is based on JOHNNY DEPP characters. Yep, that’s right, Johnny Depp..the wonderful worlds of Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Willy Wonka from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory…the wildly fantastical movie madness of Tim Burton and, well, Tim Burton. Wow, isn’t it grand!?

More on SWEENY TODD below…stay tuned for Chuck’s debut.

Starting with formal, evening look:

How absolutely, amazingly perfect is this black and white striped hat from Two Back Flats?!?!

Beading and sparkles and glory, oh my! Don’t just let the gown stand alone…give it a friend or two. Lace and beaded shrug from Express & a super fab hat from TBF!

Striped tights give an interesting pop when revealed from under the Carmen Marc Valvo ball gown.

Along with black & white tights, these Steve Madden lace up, wedge booties are a stylish, unexpected twist with otherwise formal attire.

Now toning it down for more of an everyday look.

Don’t you just love thumbing through racks of randomness at a consignment store?!?! Can be such a little treasure hunt. This red top was a jewel among many.

A modern bandeau skirt gives this vintage top a current feel. Tucking this top in made a HUGE difference in the overall look. Give it a whirl for a slimming look!

Love and hugs from here to there!!!!!!!!!!
