Custom Wedding Birdcage Veil Fascinator

www.twobackflats.com

I know. Its all so pretty you wanna eat it.  Lisa's wedding color palette was pretty much one of my personal faves in red, pink and ivory. She wanted a birdcage veil / fascinator that was bold but still just an accent to her ensemble. I created this piece using 9 different fabrics, 3 vintage pins and and partridge in a pear tree.

Victorian Tea Party Mini Top Hat

Try as hard as you possibly can to contain your jealousy: The lady I made this hat for gives pony rides for a living. And they're not just ponies. They're rainbow haired ponies.
You know how I feel about rainbow hair.

Magical things happen to magical people. Just as I was completing her headpiece, I found this vintage horse cameo locket to complete it. Seriously. In that color blue.

This was a custom order to match a pink and blue floral Victorian tea party outfit Angela made for herself. If you love anything girly and lacy...you would flip! I hope we'll see pics of the whole ensemble together! Cough. Cough.

Eat your heart out Marie Antoinette

For you this Valentines day my lovers: Every girl's true fantasy. A real life dress up party. Alice in Wonderland meets Marie Antoinette meets East Coast bad assery.

One day, I swear I will plan something in advance but until then, you can understand how my procrastination is not dire. I shit you not, we pulled off this shoot in one week. When you have so many bougie bitches on speed dial, this is just another Sunday afternoon... ;)

My first muse Tia Darling sporting, oh so naturally, this French blue Marie Antoinette inspired mini tricorn hat and a necklace she is too humble to tell you she made herself.

These pink champagne coupes are not a dream. They are real. And they our mine. Well, really their ours. Another Tia & Jas thrifting escapade find!

Are you sitting down?? Well GET UP because Nina in this mini hat and Jill Andrews Gown is already one of the best moments of 2013.

A little authentic Victorian goggle action courtesy of House of Jill.
Jill has the most awesome assortment of the finest, classical, ton notch vintage shit you've ever seen.

Like these vintage clothing labels from Baltimore designers and department stores. Lord have mercy. #gimme

The hauntingly beautiful Erica Von Lindenberg who I am so unbelievably lucky lends me her head for my hats.

And of course me! Bougie bitch numero uno feeling all glam with that red silk hair flower and this A-MAZING collar made entirely of real rose petals!! Its true!!!

And the lady herself behind these DIVINE live rose petal collars. Amanda Veronee of Anthomanic. This girl is unstoppable. Her work is straight out of a dream with its weepy, sultry, romantic vibe.

These colorssss!!! Le sigh*

Paired with the turquoise skirt surrounded by a myriad of vintage busts. Dream within a dream.

And red heart balloons :)

Did I mention this all came together in a week like real life MAGIC?! The purple flowers, the deep plum gown, that wysteria top hat. <3 nbsp="" p="">

Yes, atop that pink and gold flawlessly ruffled cake sits a pink mini tricorn hat with a tiny bird, Sailboats, pink ostrich plumes and a teeeny tiny vintage crown for aforementioned tiny bird.

Nina, Tia, Jasika, Amanda & Erica

Thank you to the group of women who rallied to pull this together so seamlessly. This level of fabulousity could not be achieved without each of you:

Bridal Carnival Mad Hatter Top Hat

Weddings. I love em all. Brides. Love them too. They're all wacked out on pretty things 24-7. I can relate. But once in a while a a bride comes along that blows even my mind away.

Firstly, when a bride says she's making her own wedding dress I, basically, buckle my seatbelt. This girl is cool. She's cooler than me. L created a dress somewhere between these two dresses. Lace sleeves, full skirt, le sigh*

Then comes a pinteresting message chock full of vintage carnival / circus inspiration! I die! Bowls of carnival tickets, photo booths, chalkboards!

Oh and btw she says! These are the SPIKED HEELS I'll be wearing with my wedding dress. I danced. In place. I did a real dance. I had JUST found these teeny tiny spikes and was so excited to use them on  a hat. What better hat than this one!!!?

I had also recently purchased these A-MAZING vintage carnival tickets from Modern Poetry on Etsy. I was clearly meant to make this hat!

Tiny spikes!!

L's wedding date is October 6th!! Hello Mad Hatter tag! I assure you...it does not stop there. This hat is so full of hidden treasures that it is a FEAST for your eyes from every angle.

Monochromatic pink stripes, ivory satin, a modern orange calico fabric. Orchids! Lilies! Popcorn! You name it. This hat IS a carnival!

So much love to Leesie on her wedding week! Thanks for being such an inspiration and trusting me with your headpiece! Hope you love it as much as I do!
