A
hat for a world of Harry Potter themed wedding?! YES PLEASE. I love
love love love love a bride with a touch of brown or tan in her
ensemble. It is so stylish and fearless so totally different. Right on
par with the rest of Kristi's fabulously unique look!
Kristi sent me these to die inspiration photos for her ensemble.
"The feel of the wedding is going to be vintage and whimsical with some steam punk-like, gothic flair."
Girl after my own heart. She wore
Michelle Roth's McKenzie. My bridal gown was Michelle Roth as well so I
felt the warm and fuzzies as soon as I saw it. MR really brings a
classic funk doesnt she?! A pattern on a wedding dress is so rock n roll
if you ask me.
Kristi created her world of Harry Potter at the MAGNIFICENT
Foundry in New York. A renovated iron foundry from the 1800s! Sigh*
This dusty blue bolero plucked all of my creative chords! So moody and romantic.
She loved the shape of the Duchess C mini tricorn hat and I knew immediately which fabrics I wanted to use.
The brown and blue brocade damask from the
Peacock Victorian Mini Top Hat.
And of course my unmatched dusty blue dupioni silk. I threw some tan
and ivory into the mix and crossed my fingers Kristi would go for it!!
A little nod to the snow owl and a mix of vintage buttons to bring the whimsy.
Go for it she DID. Look at these two!! Absolutely good enough to eat adorable.
J'adore the candle ceremony backdrop.
I just want to pull up a chair to this dessert table.
Hooray to owl cakes!!! I love the clean, rustic, DELICIOUS feel of this.
Rocking the detachable birdcage veil. Hard.
