Hot Pink and Black Mad Hatter Wedding

Oooo la la. Is there anything more classic AND more modern than a hot pink and black New Orleans Mad Hatter wedding? I think not.

I can't wait to see photos of this bridal party decked out in there matching Mad Hatter hats.

Handmade from scratch using black and hot pink satins. Hand crafted 10/6 tags and embellished with rhinestone trim.

Our gorgeous bride will be wearing a white mini top hat with thick black ribbon and detachable birdcage veil.

And of course two little wee reverse hot pink hats for the flower girls. This is going to be an awesome wedding.

Pin Up inspired Cupcake Hat

Yowsa! I was immediately excited when Mel sent me a photo of her adorable Pin Up dress in yellow and black! Perhaps it was happenstance that I had the identical yellow and white pin stripe seersucker fabric to match her dress. That, or some of my customers are my actual soul mates. Yea, let's go with that!

Mel needed a hat for a purse party she is catering with her delicious sounding desserts. Raspberry trifle, cupcakes, oh my! We immediately had a custom black and red cupcake pin made my Phoebe at Happy Creations. Yea. I know. Look at it!

I got the fun fun fun opportunity to meet M yesterday when she came to pick up her hat and we both did a collective happy dance!! Then spent 45 minutes talking over each other about purses and hats and pretty little things!

My husband makes fun of me for hoarding everything, but my theory is - everything will find its perfect place. Just like these raspberries. I have had them for so long and have contemplated using them on so many things from gift packaging to hair accessories. It was obviously waiting for Mel and her love of pin up. Don't they just make you taste that cupcake?!

Steamy Punks

I must confess - I'm a little new to the phenomenon that is Steampunk. Although , who doesnt love time travel and the Victorian era? Lacy and Brandon did it up right along with their awesomely talented photographer Daniel Stark. (Seriously, click the link. I was drawn into his wedding photography immediately.)

Lacy chose the ever classic Victorian Carnival Mini Top Hat for her blood red and black wedding! Perfect!

I'm finicky with the color red. Even as a kid, I refused to wear red, color in red or...well thats all you do as a kid, right? Wear clothes and color? . It has to be justtt the right shade for me to love it. Hands down, Lacy pulled it off with these bridal party dresses. And...How much do you love those jet black feather bouquets?? This looks like a party I would like to go to.

Mini Top Hats

...for anyone who likes some sparkle with their shake.

Trixie and Roxy are BACK and they are hot. hot. hot. So many thanks to Alana at Vanity's Edge Design for the sexy pin ups!



I cannot tell you how much fun I had making these top hats. Trixie is fully lined in red satin, then hand glittered and sealed with clear coat for full shine and non-flakiness. No glitter trails for you. I, on the other hand have red glitter on my dogs, in my coffee mugs, in my husband's beard, on my eyelashes....I could think of worse things.


Roxy is Trixie's bestie. Perfect for anyone who is always in charge. I have had this ridiculously awesome black foiled pvc for months. Finally a part of a pair! Fully loaded with faux leather bow, black lace and stunning black feathers. The perfect accessory to any crime.




Valentines day is right around the corner and these puppies are ready to ship. Models not included.

Mad Hatter Hats! And how!

Day 2 of Mad Hatter Week and I am here to tell you : You have all definitely not lost your "muchness"! I was blown away by the massive amounts of madness this Halloween. All of my customers who dressed up as the Mad Hatter this year did so exceptionally and with so much valor!

I wish you could have seen the studio bursting with laces and dates, satins and plaids in every color, feathers in every shape and size. You are ALL MAD and you rock my nation.

My favorite thing of all is creating a hat off of an outfit. While I love a girl who knows exactly what she wants, creating something as I go is how I come up with some of my best hats! Thanks for the faith <3
